Easton sport sock – Quality Sporting Goods Equipment

Easton Sports, the leading manufacturer of quality sporting goods equipment, has unveiled its first complete line of baseball and softball performance apparel. Separately, the company announced that it has renewed its licensing agreement with Mondor Ltd., a Canadian manufacturer who will continue producing, under the Easton name, certain baseball/softball apparel items for sale in Canada as well as certain hockey apparel items for sale in both the U.S. and Canada.

Historically known as a leader in high-quality baseball and hockey equipment, Easton is now taking its leadership into the apparel category. The new line of baseball/softball performance apparel features moisture management undergarments, outerwear, pants, T-shirts, caps, and more.

We’ve seen a growing demand for Easton apparel in recent years, and we see this as a great opportunity to add another dimension to the company, said Marcie Rohach, Easton director of apparel. Our baseball and softball customers are already accustomed to high-quality sports equipment, and we are excited to now offer the same premium quality with this fashionable and technical line of performance apparel.

Easton’s new Skinz™ moisture management apparel features Bio-Dri™ fabric which wicks away moisture keeping the wearer dry and light. Initial Skins™ offerings include a loose fit hockey crew in both short sleeve and long sleeve versions, both made from 100% micro-fiber polyester and engineered for maximum comfort and performance.

Easton has also introduced a first-of-its-kind line of Sport Underwear available in white and grey in three models: the sport brief, the mid-thigh sport brief and the sport boxer.

Rounding out the 2003 line, Easton is offering a polarfleece V-neck pullover, a hockey hooded sweatshirt, a team windsuit, six styles of comfort colored pigment dyed t-shirts, and several different styles of hockey stitch caps, hockey label caps, and knit caps.

In a separate development, Easton announced that it has renewed its licensing agreement with Mondor Ltd., signing a multiyear extension with the Canadian hockey and baseball apparel manufacturer. Under the agreement, Mondor Ltd. will continue to make, under the Easton name, certain baseball/softball apparel items including custom pants, jerseys and uniforms for sale in Canada, as well as certain hockey apparel items including custom jerseys, practice jerseys, and hockey socks for sale in both the U.S. and Canada.

We feel this agreement reconfirms the success we’ve had with Easton and furthers our expansion strategy of identifying and recruiting quality partners to help distribute our product into the hands of the consumer,” said Denis Baudoin, president of Mondor. “We look forward to continuing the partnership in order to provide our customers with products of the highest quality. Mondor, Ltd. was founded in 1955 as a manufacturer of nylon stockings but soon switched to fashion tights and then ultimately to garments. In 1994 they added sportswear to the mix when they acquired Monsport Inc., a manufacturer specializing in sportswear for baseball, hockey and basketball.
