Running Shoe Sock Linings – Technological Masterpiece

It takes a classic to give birth to the next generation of running shoes. So for Fall '03, Etonic Athletic is introducing a technological masterpiece - The Streetfighter ICO, and reintroducing the proud parent - the shoe that virtually started the running revolution, the Streetfighter Classic.

The Streefighter Classic is a stylish training shoe that provides lightweight comfort. The new Streetfighter ICO is a cushioned stability shoe that is packed from the ground up with all the features today's runners demand. Starting with a high abrasive/high mileage Everdure® outsole, Etonic adds a Stablite® dual density midsole, a Stable Air® chamber encapsulated in the heel for maximum impact absorption, and an Exoskeletal arch-bridge for torsional stability. The new midsole features ICO-10™, (Impact Cushioning Operant) which is molded into the forefoot, the Dynamic Reaction Plate® in the heel to dissipate shock and distribute weight, and the Footrest Comfort System®, a multi-density footbed with a Tylite gel heel pad for extra cushioning. Rounding out the Streetfighter ICO is a Dri-lex® sock-lining - a smooth, comfortable material with a patented system that wicks moisture away from the foot. The Streetfighter ICO is available in multiple width sizing for both men and women and will be available at retail 7/1/03 at a suggested retail price of $79.95.

First introduced in 1979, the Streetfighter Classic is one of the shoes that started it all. With today's retro fashion craze, Etonic is bringing back the original running shoe using today's modern materials. The Streetfighter Classic has a high-mileage Everdure® outsole, a dual-density midsole for firm but flexible cushioning, and the exact suede/mesh uppers that duplicate the ageless style and comfort. Available in original royal/yellow for men, and royal/red/white for women, the Streetfighter Classic is available 7/1/03 and will retail for the original selling price of $39.95.

New for Fall '03 is Etonic's cushioning shoe - The XPD8. This lightweight trainer is for the underpronator/neutral runner that is looking for a soft, well cushioned ride with the famous Etonic fit. The XPD8 includes an Everdure® outsole, Stable Air® heel chamber, Exoskeletal arch-bridge, ICO-10™ in the heel and forefoot, a CMEVA midsole, the Footrest Comfort System, and Dri-Lex® Lining.

Rounding out the new product offerings is a trio of new entries for Fall. This includes the NRG, a flexible comfortable trainer with versatility to meet the needs of many types of runners, the Crossfire, Etonic's premier fitness shoe designed for the athlete who participates in a variety of activities, and the Trans AM Extreme II, a leather cross trainer on a lightweight CMEVA midsole with a high mileage outsole.

With our new line for Fall '03 we're expanding our line beyond our motion control and stability reputation, and completing our product offering with stability cushioning and neutral cushioning shoes, says Etonic president Dan Werremeyer.
