Hot Chillys Sport Sock – Peachskins, A Brand New Baselayer

Known for its innovative and technical proprietary fabrics, Hot Chillys kicks off winter '03 with Peachskins, a brand new baselayer, as well as brilliant new colors and antimicrobial (anti odor) fabric enhancements in many popular pieces.

Peachskins, a new super soft and silky line of base layers takes center stage this season. Made from high performing 100% polyester with a sueded, peach finish and a lustre look, Peachskins is offered in seven colors, including autumn, moss, marine, orchid, and ocean. Styles for men and women include both tops and bottoms, including a traditional roll down turtleneck. "Peachskins is a fabric that appeals to those who like the feel of silk next to their skin, but still want the performance of a synthetic fabric," said Guy Wells, president of Hot Chillys. "And it has the softest hand imaginable!"

BIOSILVER: Hot Chillys popular proprietary base layers and performance apparel made with BioSilver Bi-Ply, a natural antimicrobial fabric, are offered in both the relaxed fit and body fit styles. Additionally, BioSilver has been added to many of the pieces in other fabrics, providing anti odor benefits to many items.

SPORT SOCKS: Hot Chillys winter sport socks feature a unique moisture chimney to transport moisture up and out of the boot and the company's proprietary BioSilver to maintain a fresh, "just out of the dryer" smell. The company is offering the socks in both men's and women's sizes and in various styles, including high, medium and low profile, depending on the level of skiing or riding the wearer is doing.

SOFTSHELLS: A new entry into the ski market are Hot Chillys softshells, made with exacting construction methods, attention to detail, and such features as fleece lining, smooth face zippers, mesh lined back vent, and bungee top collar and hem. The softshells are waterproof, breathable, and available in both men and women's sizes in ocean, autumn, moss and black.

FAVORITES: Heavier, warmer pieces continuing on this season include the super soft and warm microfleece, La Montana and La Montana Plus. Now offered in Glacier, a soft baby blue and Slate, a sky blue, the La Montana pieces are everyone's favorite mid layer.

NEW COLORS: A new palette of colors that borrow hues from the outdoors update the entire line with a fresh, young attitude. The colors are offered in many of Hot Chillys most popular fabrics, and include autumn (burnished orange), moss (khaki green), glacier (baby blue), marine (navy blue), cloud (light grey), orchid (bright pink), ocean (teal blue) and slate (blue grey). "We now have color blocking and contrasting colors on some of our most popular styles, appealing to a younger demographic of snowboarders and skiers," said Wells.

For close to 20 years, Hot Chillys has been dressing the perspiring, overactive, naked body – from the inside out – in stylish, performance oriented, temperature-controlled apparel. Using premier, technologically advanced fabrications and state of the art construction methods, Hot Chillys is dedicated to its mission of making the best performing and most comfortable apparel for any type of climate and any athletic pursuit.
