K-Swiss Socks – Socks for Tennis Enthusiasts |
|
October 22, 2005 By: William Pensworth K-Swiss Socks – Socks for Tennis EnthusiastsTwo Swiss brothers who became avid tennis players after moving to Southern California founded K-Swiss, and in 1966, they introduced the K-Swiss Classic shoe. This shoe was the first all-leather tennis footwear with a one-piece rubber outsole, reinforced toe-design, five-stripe bands on each side, and D-Ring lacing system. Since then, K-Swiss has continued to build on its performance heritage with new footwear for tennis players, as well as training and running shoes for all athletes. They now also manufacture various styles of men’s and women’s K-Swiss socks for running and tennis enthusiasts. The K-Swiss sock is normally a cotton-based blend, in crew, quarter and low ankle lengths. The 7.0 System socks are made with the Coolmax moisture-management fabric. These socks combine extra padding on the bottom and across the instep, with a thin, lightweight upper across the forefoot for coolness. K-Swiss socks come in white with either the K-Swiss name spelt out or the embroidered shield at their tops. Although the soles of the sock may sometimes be navy, the only other colours visible on the socks will be the understated grey or black. The market for the K-Swiss products including their socks is the amateur or occasional athlete, and the ones that rarely compete at the top level. Someone who might run short distances on the weekend, or plays a game of tennis two or three times a month is well suited for these socks. The socks made by K-Swiss are very comfortable socks that can be warn by many men and women as well as teenagers and children. Also see; athletic socks.About
