ASICS socks – Maximize Running Comfort |
|
October 11, 2005 By: William Pensworth ASICS socks – Maximize Running ComfortKnown initially for their shoes and then their outerwear, ASICS socks have also become big sellers to the running world. The sock company name is actually an acronym for the famous Latin phrase, Anima Sana In Corpore Sana which translates to A Sound Mind in a Sound Body, and this is an organisation all about helping us achieve that sound body through exercise. This athletic shoe company was formed in 1949 in Japan, with its products first shipped to the American continent in 1977. In recent years they have been manufacturing both men’s and women’s exercise outerwear, underwear and socks in addition to their popular shoe products. The ASICS sock should work best with the running or jogging shoes made by the same company, but is a great sock regardless of which companies shoe the runner may be wearing. The socks are designed to add extra cushioning and support to the runner’s feet while he/she pounds away at the pavement or track. The ASICS Kayano sock model for example is shaped anatomically correct, and features high-density pile cushioning. A sock that is manufactured for each foot, left and right, makes for a much more snug fit and reduced slippage. The Nimbus sock provides even more cushioning for the feet. The ASICS MC sock provides for enhanced motion control and is a slightly thicker sock. The Hera model of sock is designed specifically for a woman’s foot. ACICS socks utilise all new materials and blends to achieve their goals for those socks, including their patented DuoTech, Cool and Dry weave that offers enhanced moisture wicking abilities. These new fibres are made with Tactel and Meryl micro fibres to provide maximum sock comfort. Also see; socks.About
