The new collection will debut in over 3,400 mid-tier national and regional sports and shoe retailers and includes an innovative treaded sock for Pilates. The announcement was made jointly by John Moretz, CEO, Moretz Sports, makers of PowerSox, and Kathy Ireland, CEO and chief designer, Kathy Ireland Worldwide. Our difference is in the fit, explained Ms. Ireland, who is also a certified fitness trainer. Our KI PowerSox for Women is designed with our unique comfort fit system that women require for many forms of activity. Whether you¹re taking a Pilates class or running errands, women demand comfort for the way they live. Comfort is not a trend, it¹s a revolution. We have an amazing partnership with Kathy, said Mr. Moretz. From day one, she¹s proven to be big business for us in the apparel industry. Her brand speaks to today's women, especially moms. Kathy is her audience. She has three children and balances motherhood with life's other demands. The Kathy Ireland PowerSox for Women Pilates treaded sock is available in four styles and is designed to be used for Pilates classes as well as other forms of exercise. It minimizes the risk of slippage due to perspiration, while also protecting the feet from exposure to bacteria and other germs. The line also includes sport-specific elite styles for walking and running; as well as several classic all-sport socks. With the popularity of Pilates on the rise, we think this new product will be a huge seller for retailers, said Mr. Moretz.
