Edifice Information Management, a provider of POS information, retail analysis, and VMI services, announced today that Mayer Berkshire Corporation, a nationally recognized manufacturer and distributor of Berkshire Legwear products, has selected Edifice to provide point-of-sale based retail analysis and vendor managed inventory services.

Berkshire Legwear provides women's hosiery products including sheer hosiery, socks, tights, pantyhose and trouser socks in a variety of colors, sizes, and styles. Headquartered in New York , the corporation represents a melding of the Berkshire company, started in 1906, and the Mayer company, which began operations in 1945. Berkshire Legwear's large number of available product lines accommodates a wide range of consumers. Selling primarily to department and specialty retail boutiques, Berkshire Legwear is marketed globally.

Mayer Berkshire will be able to use Edifice Trading Partner Reports to provide the Berkshire sales teams with a customized report containing information about weekly product activity by analyzing store level information from multiple trading partners. Edifice customizes report services based on requirements and attributes that are unique to the individual customer.

Berkshire Legwear markets a tremendous range of colors, sizes, and styles within several product lines to retailers throughout the country. By using the Edifice i.glass reports, the Berkshire sales representatives can view and use critical data about product performance and inventory levels easily and quickly. We were able to incorporate many of the attributes and features that are important to Mayer Berkshire and the sales representatives and deliver a custom report.

As part of an expanded service offering, Edifice will provide Berkshire Legwear with a vendor managed inventory (VMI) enhancement program. VMI provides the next level of service by allowing a company to use more complex data analysis to determine service and stocking levels, smooth out production scheduling, and strengthen vendor and supplier relationships.
