International Hosiery Exposition at the Charlotte Convention Center, was driven by the sponsorship support of several major hosiery manufacturing and supply companies. Close to 500 industry executives and retailers attended the high-energy runway event, which provided key directional trends in men’s, women’s and children’s hosiery for Fall 2003 and beyond. The overwhelming success of the dinner and fashion show – attracting the interests of the industry’s entire value chain as well as global media attention – would not have been possible without them. Du Pont Company served as fashion show sponsor, providing valuable support for the stellar runway presentation. Additional event sponsors included: Bayer Polymers LLC, Candor Hosiery Mills Inc., Golden Lady/Kayser-Roth Corp. spa, McGregor Industries Inc., Moretz Inc., Nilit America, O’Mara Texturing Corporation, Parkdale Mills Inc., RadiciSpandex Corporation, Duraspun/Solutia Inc. and Toyo Thai. This event served as the key social high point of the industry calendar for the year. The next International Hosiery Exposition and Conference is scheduled for Spring 2007. THA, founded in 1905, is the only national trade association representing the manufacturers of more than 85 percent of the hosiery produced in America.
